The Private Wealth Management Process
- The Discovery Meeting
- The Plan Presentation Meeting
- The Mutual Commitment Meeting
- The 45-Day Follow-up Meeting
- Regular Progress Meetings
1. The Discovery Meeting
The Discovery Meeting is the foundation for a long term relationship between our practice and your family. We will thoroughly discuss your values, goals, interests, relationships, health, and any other concerns. (To make our time as productive as possible, we ask that you provide these documents "Document Checklist" to us for review one week prior to our meeting.) If, through this conversation, we determine that a business relationship would be mutually beneficial, we will schedule a second meeting. At this point we will begin to create a plan unique to your situation. This meeting typically lasts 75 minutes.
2. The Plan Presentation Meeting
The Plan Presentation Meeting is designed to match you with comprehensive strategy that meets your present and future goals. We will walk you and your family step by step through every element of the document including:
- Net Worth Summary
- Cash Flow Analysis
- Insurance Review
- College Funding
- Estate Planning/Charitable Gifting
- Stock Option/Concentrated Equity Ownership
- Asset Allocation Matrix
- Investment Plan
Once we have answered all of your questions and addressed any additional issues, we will schedule our next meeting, one week later. Though you may be prepared to begin implementing the plan immediately, we believe this is a long term commitment and should be entered into thoughtfully. This meeting typically lasts 60 minutes.
3. Mutual Commitment Meeting
During the Mutual Commitment meeting we address any questions or issues regarding the plan. We then begin implementation of the plan by completing the necessary paperwork. This meeting typically lasts 30 minutes.
4. The 45-Day Meeting
The 45 Day Meeting gives us the opportunity to walk through what we have implemented and what is next in the plan. We will provide you with the necessary education to fully understand your account(s) statement, and we will determine your preferences for progress updates. Additionally, we will schedule meetings with your other professional advisors such as your CPA or attorney. This meeting typically lasts 60 minutes.
5. Regular Progress Meetings
Progress Meetings are based on your choices from the 45 Day meeting. Our practice will monitor your progress, and discuss the results during scheduled appointments. These discussions provide the forum to update, change, or add to the wealth of information that we manage for each client. Unique to every relationship, these meetings can be very brief or last a full 60 minutes.
